MUKSW Careers and Skills Business event, partnered with Stem Ambassadors and Bournemouth and Poole College, 30th Sept, 10:00-15:00
The MUKSW Careers and Skills Program is partnering with Stem Ambassadors and Bournemouth and Poole College to create an event focussed on opportunities for business, Access to the right skills is widely reported as the number one challenge in our sector and the Maritime UK SW Careers and Skills program is focussed on helping to alleviate this issue.
The event will focus on: forthcoming changes to the skills agenda from the new Labour government, the skills offering locally and across the region, how businesses can join 28,000 volunteers who offer their time and energy to visit schools higher education institutions and youth groups to become maritime “stem ambassadors” to stimulate demand for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) and encourage more talent into maritime by linking to the real world of work.
The event will feature case studies from local businesses and the MOD and prison service (Ministry of Justice) and networks for those developing early careers in maritime.
