Using this website means you agree to these terms. They protect MUKSW (and its directors, staff and service providers) by limiting our liability for your use of this site and any linked sites.

1. Definitions

• MUKSW means Maritime UK South West, M(UK)SW Ltd as registered in England, No. 15647842, at 50 Collapark, Totnes, TQ9 5LW.
• You/Your means the user of this website.
• Website means maritimeuksw.org, all its pages, design, graphics, newsletter, and content.
• Member means a Strategic Partner or Sponsor who has paid their fee.
• Service Provider means any third party supplying content or services through the Website.
• Registered User means anyone who has registered on the Website (e.g., to receive info or attend an event or newsletter).

2. Intellectual Property Rights

• MUKSW owns the rights to all Website content, goodwill, and its design, unless otherwise noted.

3. Events:

• Booking is a contract: Submitting a booking form is a binding contract for you/your company, even if payment hasn’t been made yet. Any terms you try to add to your booking are not part of this contract.
• We’ll aim to confirm your booking by email the next working day.
• Price Errors: If we find an error in the advertised price, we will notify you and give you the option to either confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. We can cancel a contract if there are obvious errors in event details.
• Cancellations/Changes:
  • Delegate name changes are allowed up to 4 working days before the event.
  • Fees are non-refundable for cancellations received 3 weeks before the event is scheduled. 
  • If MUKSW changes the event program or timings, fees are not refundable.
  • If MUKSW must cancel or postpone an event for reasons beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters, disputes, etc.), the fee will be credited/refunded to your original payment method.
  • We are not liable for any other loss you may incur, such as accommodation, meals, or travel costs, resulting from event changes or cancellation.
• Event Program: While correct at the time of publication, MUKSW reserves the right to change event details without notice.
• Speaker Views: The views expressed by external speakers are their own; MUKSW is not responsible for any advice they provide.
• Promotional Media: Photographs and recordings may be taken at events for promotional purposes. If you have objections to having your photograph taken please inform us at least 5 days prior to the event.

4. Limited Guarantees and Liability

• No Guarantee of Accuracy or Access: We work to keep the Website accessible and information accurate, but we and our Service Providers cannot check or endorse all third-party content. We don’t guarantee that the information is accurate, complete, fit for a purpose, or timely.
  • Information may be incorrect or out of date.
  • We aren’t responsible for any decision or action you take based on Website information.
  • The site may be temporarily inaccessible due to maintenance or technical issues.
