South Devon College has announced two fully funded Bootcamps for adults (19+) looking to step into the maritime sector.

Maritime Engineering & Royal Navy Careers
A dynamic two-week Level 3 programme for those currently not in employment, education or training. Participants will train in the Marine Academy workshops, get practical experience on the water and study for the RYA Level 1 Powerboat and visit key Royal Navy sites including BRNC Dartmouth and HMNB Devonport, plus receive a guaranteed interview with a Royal Navy recruitment specialist.

Careers at Sea – Fishing & Commercial
This hands-on two-week course introduces participants to careers in commercial maritime and fishing, combining on-the-water experience, industry insight and the chance to obtain Seafish-approved qualifications in Basic Firefighting and/or Sea Survival. At the end of the programme, every participant will have a guaranteed interview with a commercial fishing or workboat employer.
