Third Great South West Floating Wind Seminar took place next Thursday (27th June) which was attended by a wide range representatives from across the regions private sector, public sector and research institutions.
The event took further the opportunity to develop floating offshore wind in the region.
Speakers included:

- Gavin Smart, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult – Translating the macro opportunity into meaningful opportunities for industry including SME’s
- Lee Richards, University of Plymouth – ORE SuperGen update
- Claire Gibson, Wave Hub Ltd – WaveHub and Pembrokeshire Demonstration Zone progress overview
- Clive Goodman, Western Power Distribution – Overview of the South West Regional Development Plan produced in collaboration with National Grid
- Matt Hodson, Marine Hub Cornwall – Feedback from the last FLOW Seminar
- Steve Jermy, CIOS LEP – Task Force update & update on Cornish Energy Strategy/ Climate Change Emergency
