Yesterday OWGP launched a £4.2M support package which consists of a £3.5M Development Grant Funding Competition and a £700,000 Wind Expert Support Toolkit (WEST) Programme for offshore wind supply chain companies.

• Development Grants of £100k to £1M are available for transformative supply chain projects that will deliver a step-change in company growth
• WEST is a low intensity foundation intervention activity which aims to support growth of offshore wind supply chain companies through specialist advice, market intelligence and business planning delivered through Expert Delivery Partners.

Development Grants Competition Key Dates:

• Call opens – 19th May 2021
• Online Briefing Event – 28th May 2021 from 2:00pm – 3:00pm
• Stage 1 Application deadline – 18th June 2021 at 5:00pm
• Successful Stage 1 Applicants Notified – 16th July 2021
• Stage 2 Application deadline – 27th August 2021 at 5:00pm

Wind Expert Support Toolkit (WEST) Key Dates:

• EoI Applications Open – 19th May 2021
• Online Briefing Event – 28th May 2021, from 2:00pm – 3:00pm
• Applications will be assessed and onboarded on a rolling basis, please refer to the WEST Scope and Guidance document for assessment wave closure and indicative start dates
• Applications Close – 25th February 2022
