Funding for SMEs in Devon and Somerset – 25th November – 12.00 – 12.45pm

As the Covid support loan schemes have come to an end it is time to reappraise the funding and business support eco-system for SMEs.

Join us on the 25th November for our webinar where panellists will give an overview of funding and business support available for SMEs in Devon and Somerset (Heart of the South West LEP area) and insights into future opportunities.

Giles Hutchings, a Partner from our Plymouth office, will be joined by Paul Jones from British Business Bank, Rob Perks from Inspire and Ben Voysey from SETsquared.

They will be covering:

  • Key findings from recent reports into funding for SMEs in the UK – and why these are important
  • Funding and business support for SMEs in the Devon & Somerset region
  • The future of the funding eco-system for SMEs in Devon & Somerset

The event takes its lead from a couple of reports issued recently, one entitled ‘Scale Up to Level Up‘ and the British Bank’s “Regions and Nations Tracker”. Both reports highlighted limitations in the UK system of finance for SMEs; key issues faced by SMEs as a result of the current system and the broader impacts this has on the UK and regional economies. We will also look to pick up on any relevant announcements made in the Autumn Budget including the ‘£200m to provide a new fund for businesses in the South West of England’.
