Green Tech Boat Show & Clean Marine Innovation Showcase

Following the success of MDL’s first Green Tech Boat Show last year, the show will take place again this year at its Queen Anne’s Battery, Plymouth, 16-18 June 2022.

In 2022 the first day of the Green Tech Boat Show will be focussed exclusively on clean marine innovation, “The Clean Marine Innovation Showcase” will create a unique forum for government, research and business to come together to exchange ideas, showcase new innovations, network and do business.

Prof Chris Smith, Centre for Future Clean Mobility, University of Exeter and Chair of the Maritime UK SW Clean Maritime Subgroup said “The marine and maritime sector, similar to other areas of the economy is rapidly accelerating the development of clean, low carbon solutions. There are already technically proven and commercially viable marine solutions available to buy now, there are also areas of the sector where new innovation is required. All of this brings significant new opportunity to the sector for those willing and capable to make the shift.”

The Clean Marine Innovation Showcase on the 16th June will include:

  • UK Government strategy
  • innovation funding
  • business support
  • case studies from businesses developing cutting edge solutions to cleaning the sector
  • break out sessions covering topics including: cleaner antifoul and coatings, recycling, commercial modelling..
  • physical and in-water tech demos
  • space for up to 80 exhibitors with commercially available solutions

“The Clean Maritime Innovation Summit will provide an important forum for those working on clean maritime across the UK to find out about the latest support in terms of funding, innovation support and also network with others at the forefront of innovation in this area” Ben Murray, Chief Executive of Maritime UK.
