MUKSW Welcomes new chair and vice chair

MUKSW welcomes new chair and  vice chair

Maritime UK South West are pleased to share with you news of the appointment of Graham Harrison and Matt Hodson as our new chair and vice chair respectively.

Graham Harrison brings extensive experience having worked as Director of Strategic Partnerships at the National Composite Centre and the Director of International Business at the South West Regional Development Agency, Graham offers deep knowledge and experience in the maritime sector. His achievements in economic development, driving investment and partnership creation provide us with excellent leadership for the future.

Matt Hodson joins us with over 30 years of experience in the offshore renewables, ports and shipping industries, and is currently Chief Operations Officer at Celtic Sea Power. Having held many leadership, operational and strategy-based roles across his career, Matt’s outstanding awareness and understanding of the Maritime economy will be invaluable to the future of Maritime UK South West as we look to exploit the opportunity from Floating Offshore Wind in the South West.

Maritime UK South West also thanks our outgoing chair, Kevin Forshaw. Kevin has been instrumental in setting the strategic direction of MUKSW and has worked tirelessly for the past 3 years helping to drive considerable investment into the region.

The Maritime UK South West annual plan will be published by January 2025 and will focus on delivery of skills, careers and diversity to the sector in addition to building out regional hubs of innovation via the GSW Innovate UK Maritime Launchpad program. The current plan can be found Partner and Sponsor page MUKSW-Strategic-Plan-2024-25.pdf of the MUKSW website.
