UKRI Trustworthy Autonomous Systems Hub funding projects £50k-£150k

The UKRI Trustworthy Autonomous Systems Hub is funding projects ranging from £50k-£150k for academia to work with industry as part of its Pump Priming Programme. Projects will start around April/June 2022 and last up to 12 months. In 2021, we funded over 10 projects ranging in areas such as Healthcare, Defence, and Autonomous Vehicles. In the next round, we will be mainly interested in the following areas:

  • TAS to accelerate the path to net-zero: how can TAS contribute to reach net-zero carbon emissions, improve our energy systems, and encourage sustainable use of natural resources?
  • TAS to aid the recovery from the pandemic: how can TAS contribute to economic, societal, mental and physical health and prosperity as we are transitioning towards a post-pandemic world?
  • TAS to contribute to the creation of an inclusive, fair and just world: how can TAS foster the design and creation of technologies and systems for inclusive and equitable societies?

You are invited to join us for an online workshop on the 25th of October to meet with potential bidders to the programme. As a partner, you have an opportunity to shape the research agenda, gain access to research findings early on, and join our partner network which comprises more than 100 organisations.

Register to attend the event by 19/10/21. Zoom links to join the sessions will be provided upon registration.

Agenda:

  • 9 am-10 am: Pump Priming briefing and Q&A
  • 10 am-11 am: Elevator Pitch 1: TAS to accelerate the path to net-zero
  • 11 am-12 pm: Elevator Pitch 2: TAS to aid the recovery from the pandemic
  • 1 pm-2 pm: Elevator Pitch 3: TAS to contribute to the creation of an inclusive, fair and just world

How can you get involved?

Researchers will pitch their idea to all present potential industry and third sector representatives at the same time. The only researcher(s) present during each round are the ones pitching their idea to keep their idea confidential. This will be facilitated via breakout rooms in Zoom.

Each session is dedicated to one of the priority application areas set out above.

As a potential partner, you will be invited to ask questions, discuss your own ideas with the researchers or follow up after the event.

What is the TAS Hub?

The TAS Hub is the focal point of the Trustworthy Autonomous Systems (TAS) Programme which is the largest investment in the UK on multidisciplinary research in responsible AI and Autonomous Systems.
