The Department for Transport’s Maritime 2050 People Route Map states: “The maritime workforce of the future will be diverse. New roles, new technologies and a changing image of the sector will draw in people from all backgrounds across the entire UK”.

A pre-pandemic McKinsey report ‘Delivering Through Diversity’ showed companies in the top quartile of their rankings for successful gender diversity on their executive teams were 21% more likely to have above-average profitability. For ethnic and cultural diversity, that figure was 33%. This round table networking session aims to bring the marine, technical and STEM communities together to explore what will make a difference in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
