Event: Innovation in Marine Technology for Aquaculture: Challenges & Opportunities.

Novel aquaculture, particularly growing seaweed, is attracting increasing interest in the UK and Europe.
Large-scale cultivation presents new challenges for technology, operating procedures and management. The high level of interest in this sector presents an opportunity for innovation, both in techniques for cultivation and new product development. This Discovery Room will review progress around Europe to date and outline the challenges to move to the next stage of development. It will explore the potential of companies based in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly to meet these challenges and highlight research support available through Marine-i. 12th November 2020
