The F4OR Programme is a 12-18 month duration, intermediate intensity activity which is specifically designed to support the UK supply chain get ready to bid for work in the offshore renewable energy sector. The cohort supported by OWGP will have a focus on Offshore Wind. The programme provides both Business Excellence and Sector Specific strands of activity delivered by independent industrial experts and advisors. Industrial advisors will first assess a company’s systems, knowledge and competence and then work with them to build an improvement plan to address identified gaps.
The F4OR Team led by ORE Catapult will work with selected companies to understand the best approach to tackle their improvement journey to have the best chance to succeed in Offshore Wind.
Companies participating in the F4OR Programme will need to be ambitious with senior level commitment and drive and aiming to grow in Offshore Wind. Applicants should have an existing site turnover of over £1m per annum and a headcount of >10 employees.
Delivery will be a combination of cohort group ‘surgeries’ and 1-2-1 support. The surgeries will be delivered online (webinar style) with 1-2-1 support delivered in a fashion best suiting the businesses and the advisors. This could be a blend of virtual and in person meetings at the businesses’ premises. The group surgery material is regularly updated between programmes to reflect industry changes. The 1-2-1 support will be bespoke to each company so entirely tailored to the context of the business.
