VIRTUAL WORKSHOP: PROGRAM YOUR OWN SENSOR – 9th July

VIRTUAL WORKSHOP: PROGRAM YOUR OWN SENSOR

Calling all Devon-based SMEs working in the maritime industry! Maritime UK South West Partners, The University of Exeter and the Marine Business Technology Centre are very excited to be announcing a two-day workshop on sensor programming that will run over the summer.

The first part of the workshop will be held virtually on 9th July and will involve bite-size lectures delivered by our world-leading academics and our partners from Impact Lab on:

  • coding
  • the internet of things
  • industry 4.0
  • cyber security
  • data analysis

The programme your own sensor workshop will be followed by a hands-on tutorial on how to program your own sensors.

The second part of the programme your own sensor workshop, which will be held later on in the year, will involve a boat trip where you’ll be able to deploy the sensors in a real-word offshore environment and analyse and visualise the data collected.

The workshop will have a practical approach that will allow you to acquire and apply new skills in a real life scenario and scope out possible applications for your business with our full support before, during and after the workshop.

Sounds good? There’s more: if you’re working for a Devon-based SME you might be entitled to a FREE spot in the workshop (value c. £1,300)!
