Transport Technology Research and Innovation Grants 2020

Last week it was announced that applications for Transport, Technology Research and Innovation Grants (T-TRIG) have now opened. DfT have provided £5.4m of support to over 170 projects over the past six years through the programme, which bridges the early stage, proof-of-concept funding gap in transport innovation, where small investments can de-risk emerging solutions. There are currently three challenges within the 2020 programme: an open call, decarbonising the transport system, and Covid-19 recovery. Deadline for applications is 11 October 2020, and the funding pot is open to all modes including maritime projects and applications from maritime businesses and academic institutions seeking funding to undertake early stage feasibility studies are encouraged.
